The most lucrative pay packages were in the health care industry, which holds three of the nine highest paid execs. This includes the $145 million paid to John Hammergen of McKesson Corp, which distributes drugs and beauty products to pharmacies. Another big payday came for Joel Gemunder, the recently retired CEO of Omnicare, who earned $98 million this year.
