In case you don’t remember, Hubert has always felt that Smith was the reason she was fired from the show. But her leaving the show is also what caused it to crash and burn. Hubert says that Will never wanted another person with more talent to overshadow him, and that’s why he pushed her out. Hubert also says that any guest on the show who stole a scene from Will was pushed to the side.
Big Willy has another story, of course. He says that Hubert was a nasty person, and that it was her bad attitude that caused her to get the boot.
Will even claims that Hubert said, “I’ve been in the business for 10 years and this snotty-nosed punk comes along and gets a show.’ No matter what, to her I’m just the AntiChrist.”
