Former Penn State assistant coach Jerry Sandusky posted $250,000 bail Thursday following his arrest a day earlier over child sex charges involving two new alleged victims, according to his attorney.
Sandusky was arrested Wednesday on four new counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and two counts of unlawful contact with a minor, bringing the total number of alleged victims to 10.He will be placed under house arrest and will be required to wear an electronic monitoring device, court officials have said.
He’ll also be restricted from contacting the alleged victims, possible witnesses, and must be supervised during any interactions with minors.”Todays criminal charges were recommended by a statewide investigating grand jury, based on evidence and testimony that was received following the initial arrest of Sandusky on November 5th,” Pennsylvania Attorney General Linda Kelly said in a statement.Each count is punishable by up to 20 years in prison and $25,000 in fines.
