Kentucky Church Bans Interracial Couples from Joining

Members voted to exclude interracial couples from having access to God within their walls.  Technically, they can come visit the church and attend services, but they cannot join.

“It’s racism. That’s what you call it,” said Dean Harville, Suzie’s father.  Mr. Harville has attended the church for 30 years.

“I treat him like I’d treat my own son,” Dean Harville said of his daughter’s husband-to-be. “You couldn’t find a nicer man.”

The couple met in college.  When they visited Suzie’s hometown to attend church, she sang a song and her husband played the piano.
