Sarah Palin Support a Black Man for GOP VP

Sarah Palin says that fellow GOP Tea Partier Allen West should be considered for the Republican nomination for Vice President in 2012.  On Fox News, Palin spoke well of West, stating that he is qualified for the job.  She didn’t officially endorse West, but did say that he might be a good choice:

“You know who I’d like to see considered for the V.P. slot is Col. Allen West,” Palin said. “In this very tumultuous time across our world, someone who has served in our military or at least has intimate knowledge of the way the military works and should work, perhaps by having a close family member serve, someone like that…Col. Allen West, who’s been to the school of hard knocks, he should be the one who should be considered seriously for V.P.”

It’s not likely that West will be the Vice Presidential candidate.  His experience is limited and he’s made several controversial comments in media.  But that still doesn’t mean that Palin’s words won’t raise a few eyebrows.   After being called out for sleeping with former NBA star Glen Rice, we all know that Palin has an affinity for men of “darker complexion.”
