The Straits Times, a newspaper in Singapore, is reporting a story about a maid who has been charged with putting menstrual blood in her boss’s coffee. The incident took place in the home of Cho Chu Kang, and was committed by a maid by the name of Jumiah.
Cathernie Yronwode, co-owner of the Lucky Mojo Curio Company, says that in some cultures, period blood has a good use.
“It can be used to seduce and enforce fidelity,” she told The Huffington Post by phone. “It’s not exactly a coercive spell. This is kind of like pheromones.”
