Comedian Kathy Griffin is known for her audacious, raunchy comedy. Last night, she lived up to her reputation when she made Anderson Cooper — who co-hosted a live New Years Eve bash on CNN with Griffin — very uncomfortable by getting “orally frisky” with him on air.
The frisky gestures started when Cooper read a fan’s tweet that stated they would take a drink each time Cooper laughed at Griffin’s jokes. “I’m going to tickle your sack. You can say sack [on air.] That’s not bad,” Griffin said to Cooper. Looking noticeably stunned, Cooper replied: “I don’t know what you’re talking about. I have no sack of gifts here. A sack of Christmas presents. I did not bring a sack of Christmas presents.” Griffin cut straight to the chase and asked Cooper: “Do you call your private parts your Christmas presents? Typical hot guy.” Unfortunately for Cooper that was just the beginning of a night full of uncomfortable remarks (and gestures) from Griffin.
When the segment cut from Cooper and Griffin to broadcast a live report of Eastport, Maine’s, custom to kiss a sculpture of an eight-foot sardine that drops from the top of a building — similar to the crystal ball drop in NYC — things really got interesting. When the camera cut back to Cooper and Griffin, Griffin was kneeled down in an attempt to kiss Cooper’s p*nis. “Did you drop something?” Cooper asked. “No, I was kissing your sardine,” Griffin answered. She continued: “I can do this all night long.” Cooper grabbed her and pulled her to her upright and held her there as she continuously attempted to kneel down to his p*nis.“I’m going on Letterman in two nights, and he wants a moment,” she said. After being rejected the entire evening, Griffin said “You know you want to.” Noticeably annoyed at this point, Cooper replied “Believe me, I really don’t.”
